This 'New Map of the World' created by Pieter Goos in 1666 was considered the finest map of the time. An exquisitely detailed engraving, coloured with ink, with decorated spandrels of clouds, birds and figures representing the seasons.
The sharp lines and geographical hints make this an immensely satisfying puzzle to do, worthy of being mounted and framed when completed. The old-world charm and antique feel sparks wanderlust in the adventurous at heart.
